In His image, we expect people to be. And generation after generation, we have that expectation that all people are created equal. But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." In the last couple of weeks, our forever children are constantly on my mind. Those that we expected, when we expected them, to be the next little me. But they're created different. They behave different. They act different. They need different things. But they truly live like we need to live. They are always ready to give hugs because they need hugs. They are excited to tell stories because they want to hear stories. They have no pretentious moments or ungrounded fears. They trust when others tremble. Their truths know no lies. They have a place in heaven because they have the knowledge of good, but see and hear no evil. Yes, they are precious forever kids that need the things that children need...forever.
The years age their bones and bodies. Their hair also turns gray. The ones who love and care at some time definitely pass away. We love and praise the winners, the smart ones and the achievers. And it is to all of you I write this tonight because we were in front of the line and that position in life comes with obligations. To share and to care, to give security and dignity to those aging children that can never bring it to themselves. Those that have a non-wavering trust that tomorrow will again be a sunny day. Friday night at Bushman's you can meet some of them. It is auditing time. Count your blessings and come and share them. They need them - they need you - they need me. They need us to care because they are our blessings. When you know one, you know all and you know what innocence means, what innocence does and what innocence needs. If you can't make it to Bushman's, go to Breckenridge Village or Mane Mission and bless yourself by giving richly. I know the caregivers at organizations like Breckenridge Village and on behalf of all of you, I thank them for their everlasting patience, love and care that they so generously share with those created for Heaven.
If you know blessed people, share this with them.
