INGREDIENTS
2 TBSP BUTTER
1 CUP RED ONION, CHOPPED
3 TBSP GARLIC, MINCED
1 CUP JIMMY'S BOURBON
1/4 CUP TOMATO PASTE
1 CUP KETCHUP
1/4 CUP APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
1/4 CUP HOT PEPPER SAUCE
2-3 DASHES WORCESTERSHIRE
3 TBSP BROWN SUGAR
12 CHICKEN DRUMMETTES
GREEN ONION FOR GARNISH

PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 375°F. Melt butter in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté until golden, about 5 minutes. Add 1 cup bourbon; bring to a boil until most of liquid is gone, about 6 to 8 minutes. Whisk in ketchup, hot pepper sauce, tomato paste, vinegar and brown sugar. Bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens slightly, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Season marinade with salt and pepper to taste. Remove marinade from heat; cool to room temperature.

Place chicken drumettes in a large bowl and pour some of the sauce over, toss to coat. Lay on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake drumettes until cooked through and brown in spots, about 35 minutes. Transfer drumettes to serving platter. Drizzle with a little extra sauce and serve with the remaining sauce alongside. Top with chopped green onions if desired. Enjoy!
