2010 Barrel No. 33 Texas Wish

30.99

Barrel 33 is a premium red blend for wine collectors and foodies alike. A bold balance is struck between complexity and comfort, Kiepersol's signature style. The nose opens with mint leaf and black currant and evolves into cocoa and raspberry. The raspberry dominates on the palate as well and is lifted up by the full, fragrant finish of anise and cocoa.

Customer praise:
"We had a wine tasting party at a friend’s house (they are blatant Francophiles with maps of the French wine regions adorning their walls).  The tasting was completed in 5 rounds with 4 to 5 bottles per round being introduced. The wine was ranked on 4 categories, Look, Smell, Taste and Finish.  Each bottle was wrapped to hide its identity and the volunteer Sommelier (complete with white gloves!) poured your wine and gave you an official scoring card to record your experience.

In this type A crowd, everyone wanted to win the tasting, so bottles costing over $100 and $200 were as common as Budweiser at a baseball game.

I had selected a wine accordingly from my own collection and as I was walking out the door, the bottle Barrel 33 that my friend Kurt gave me caught my eye and screamed out,  “Let me take on those Frenchies!”  In my mind, I said, “Ok Barrel 33, you’re in!” To my delight and  shock of with this wine crowd, a Texas wine, Kiepersol’s Barrel 33  took  2nd place in round 2 of the tastings.  Great job Barrel 33!
