What a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Not only counting blessings, but expressing the sincere thankfulness for the times and people and the places you don't always think of. Another Thanksgiving full of firsts. First time somebody special is not there. First Thanksgiving with a new little one or two. Thanksgiving where we can say thank you for the...so many blessings we have. Today at the winery, we had a guest 100 years old. And he was so thankful that he could experience a vineyard and a winery in East Texas. I'm so thankful that he could experience it here. Like he said, East Texas is beautiful, but this makes it feel like a different world - one I only dreamed of. He said, "I'm a Christian man and I love the stories of the vine and today I could touch it."
The weather has been beautiful and the sunrises and sunsets so brilliant, full of hope, highlighting this season of joy. Before we know, Christmas will be upon us. And then the whole new beginning of a new year. Seasons coming and going and we live in a free fall. Our time consumed by the irrelevant things that we cannot change when relevance and joy is within our reach, ready for the taking. Make this season yours. Find the reasons to smile. Smother those negative vibes. Be joyful. Get lost in place and forget about yourself. And if you do, this season might just be the stimulation for a life full of joy and appreciation for the beautiful and majestic minutes of happiness that can turn into hours, days, weeks and years.
