Isn't reboot the most awesome, easy way to have a corrective action? My definition of reboot is rethinking the enterprise and the sequence and the purpose. Reboot is so prevalent in our society, so unintentional in our every day life. I heard Saturday someone say, "I have to come to the vineyard to reboot and get my values and priorities in the correct sequence." And then at sunset the skies above the vineyard came alive. Drone-like hovering over the vineyard with thousands of dragonflies. Almost celebrating the end of harvest - the beginning of the end of the season - like they know the vineyard will naturally reboot. And the season will come and the season will go. And before we know, the next one will be prettier and better than those we knew before.
We understand so much and apply so little. Do we ever take time to stop? I mean stop and just think. What are we doing and why are we doing it? Our lives are like a hurricane building - a never ending spiral of have-to, need-to must dos that are in the end meaningless. When you look in hindsight at that almost out of control unbalanced existence, you know that rebooting was long overdue. Change your environment to work with you instead of against you. It is time to reboot everything. Planning, rules, regulations, obligations, priorities and sometimes people and associations, and especially pretentious do-good politicians. We can't live in storms every day. We have to have sunlight and showers so that we can take responsibility for ourselves in every aspect of our existence. And yet still understand that there is only one hand we can depend on, the calm and steady hand of our Lord and Savior.
