First Week of Harvest at Kiepersol: An Exciting Start with Blanc du Bois

This week marked an exciting beginning at Kiepersol Vineyards, Winery & Distillery as we wrapped up our first week of harvest for our 25th season. We began with picking our prized Blanc du Bois grapes and we are thrilled to report that both the volume and quality of grapes from 2023 to 2024 have increased significantly, promising an exceptional vintage.

Blanc du Bois is a remarkable grape varietal known for its resilience and versatility. Developed in Florida, it thrives in warm climates, making it perfect for our East Texas vineyard. Celebrated for producing aromatic white wines with notes of citrus, floral, and tropical fruits, Blanc du Bois is a favorite among wine enthusiasts for its ability to create vibrant and refreshing wines.


Looking Ahead to The 2024 Vintage

The Blanc du Bois grapes we are harvesting now will be the cornerstone of our 2024 white wine. Given the excellent quality and increased volume, we are confident that the upcoming wines will be extraordinary. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that each bottle reflects the passion and hard work poured into every step of the winemaking process.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the King’s Academy football team and students for their incredible support in handpicking the grapes this past week. Their hard work and dedication are truly appreciated.

We also want to give a special thanks to our vineyard crew, who have been tirelessly working in the heat for the past few months, meticulously hand-watering the baby vines. Their enduring dedication is crucial to our success and embodies the spirit of community and collaboration that we cherish at Kiepersol.
